In prior versions of IFS, a simple Excel migration tool, aptly called "the magic spreadsheet" was used to get data into your environment. With the move from a PC client to a web interface, many users struggled with the loss of this valuable method of data entry. IFS have a copy and paste function on most tables, but it is constrained within that single environment.
Our clipboard tool allows copy and paste operations between environments, bridging the gap that used to be filled by the magic spreadsheet. This helps to reduce the workload of your development team, who can concentrate on your customisations, reports, interfaces and modifications.
We value the security and privacy of your data. The data that is copied and pasted, never leaves your browser when using our sync tool. It is copied between the IFS sessions that you have open only.

Using our Live Import feature, one of our customers was able to build an interface between an existing order system and IFS. When the system modified an Excel output, our Live Import feature automatically identified that change and pulled the data into the IFS Clipboard Sync tool, ready for the users to paste into IFS. This removed hours of manual workarounds and user operations from importing the same file multiple times a day.

Licensing Update – Effective September 2026
From September 2026, we will introduce an annual licence for use of the add-in. This enables continued investment in new features, validation capabilities, language support, and ongoing compatibility with future IFS Cloud releases.
The tool already saves significant time and cost across data migration, development, and day-to-day operations. It is actively used by thousands of users across hundreds of IFS instances worldwide.
