Supporting a global developer, owner operator and service provider of data centres to transition from IFS Apps 10 to Aurena.

Techris Consulting partnered with a Global IT company to support them to embed a new implementation and improve the UX across IFS. We serviced the customer by working with teams from around the globe to identify priority requirements in a rapidly expanding business.  

 

Our consultant acted as the functional lead, working within a small team to continuously improve the IFS Apps 10 solution and to work alongside the finance department to define new employee expense processes and adopt IFS Aurena.  These processes were then adopted and trained to the business users around the globe.   

 

Due to the rapid expansion of the client, Techris aided the automation of several IFS records to ensure a standard process was established. These automations cut down the number of data points that the users needed to manually enter and covered Company, Site, Project Management, Sales and Subcontract setup.  

 

Techris Consulting also re-implemented and simplified an overly complex HR structure which was causing confusion in the business.  The original configuration was not serving the business expansion and led to multiple configuration issues, was difficult to understand and maintain.  The re-implementation of this process saw a reduction in the error rate between IFS and the external system which mastered the HR data.  

 

The integration of FreshDesk with IFS was a particular highlight of the project. This used the workflow engine in FreshDesk to pass information into the Mulesoft Integration platform.  This in turn fed information into IFS and gave the client a simple self-service portal for managing authorisations, company and site access and permission sets in IFS.  This reduced the volume of service desk tickets and ensured data was setup and configured in a standard way.  

 

As part of the implementation Techris Consulting  

  • Developed automations for procurement to reduce the time taken to process project procurement requests and to keep authorisations flowing. 

  • Redeveloped the IFS expenses system in Aurena and included a custom module to track gifts and hospitality items. 

  • Developed several automations for company setup to standardise the basic data for new companies and to keep basic data in sync. 

  • Created lobbies to manage expenses and spent time developing standardise processes.
